Phase I

  • Phase I of the study will recruit 20 healthy right-handed participants. Participants will complete preliminary screening questionnaires prior to taking part. They will be given a series of speech tasks to undertake with and without the transcranial magnetic stimulator. A video and audio recording will be taken during these tasks as will monitoring of the muscle activity using an EMG machine.
  • Some participants will be invited to have an MRI scan.
