MRI Scanner
What is MRI?
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) produces high quality images of the brain. MRI scanning requires that  you lie very still in the scanner for about 45 minutes. The scanner is a narrow tunnel. People who are claustrophobic are advised not to volunteer for this element of the research. The MRI scanner is a large magnet. Because of this, you will be asked to complete a standard questionnaire and anyone with metallic implants should not take part in this component of the study. MRI scanning does not involve exposure to radioactivity.
